Our Tree Appraisal Services Help Determine Your Tree’s Value

An old saying states that money does not grow on trees but did you know that trees can raise the property value of your home? Some of our local native trees increase your home's value by thousands of dollars. We want to tell you more about the Florida Native Trees that will not only add curb appeal to your home but more money for your investment. Well maintained healthy trees can increase your property value and can be protected as an asset. A Tree Appraisal by one of our Arborists will determine how much value your trees add to your property.

Money Trees

A well manicured landscape will add value to your property but of all vegetation and plants, trees hold the most value. A quality tree can make a big difference in the resale value of your home. A mature tree can sometimes be appraised for thousands of dollars. All hardy trees provide some value but there are preferred trees that home buyers will specifically look for when purchasing a home. We want to talk about a few that are native to Florida.

Live Oaks

Live Oaks are majestic trees that can last for centuries. They provide plenty of shade. When this tree is near a home or business it can act as a windbreak from heavy winds in a hurricane or other major storm. Some of these trees have been appraised at $30,000. That is a valuable tree! Read our previous blog to learn more about Southern Live Oak Trees.

Long Needle Pines

There are many different pines that are native to Florida but Long Needle Pines add the most value. This particular type of pine usually grows along Coastal areas. Long Leaf Pines timber is a very popular commodity but there are huge efforts being made to preserve these types of trees. Due to its heavily soaked resin, southern pine bark beetles, do not affect this tree. That means there is little risk in planting and preserving the Long Needle Pine on your property.

Red Oaks

There are different varieties of Red Oaks. Much like the Southern Live Oak, these trees last for hundreds of years. They are perfect shade trees and in the Fall produce a beautiful red leaf. The property value of these trees varies depending on the species.

Bloodgood Japanese Maple

The Bloodgood Japanese Maple is a beautiful addition to any yard. Its leaves turn a beautiful Scarlet Red color that looks great with a plush green lawn. Aside from their aesthetic appeal, these trees provide plenty of shade on a hot summer day and can reach heights of up to fifteen feet. The great thing about this particular tree is that the roots do not grow unruly so they can be planted near patios, houses and other structures. They can grow in partial shade or full sunlight. This tree can add thousands of dollars to your home's value.
our trees are truly worth.

Trunk Formula Method

We specialize in Tree Planting, Tree Preservation and Tree Removal as well Tree Appraisal. Our Arborists use the Trunk Formal Method to measure your tree and figure out its exact value. This method measures the trunk cross-sectional area and multiplies that by a monetary value per square inch. The basic value  then depreciates or reduces by factors for species, condition, and location of the tree. Whether you are purchasing new property or trying to raise your resale value, our Tree Appraisal is a valuable tool in finding out what your trees are truly worth.
